This
kit is 1/16 scale (120mm) and made of resin parts. There's
around 30 or less parts, some of them small.
Verlinden is a well known company from over the decades,
and figures are only a small part of the resin accessories
and models they make. Almost all their products are military
related, but they do have some fantasy type figures.
The
resin is very solid and good quality. The parts fit well.
There were no blemishes, pinholes, or any other issues with
my example. It was perfect.
The
figure will stand on it's own although I did mount mine
to a small piece of wood as a base.
I
painted the figure with Vallejo paints. I wanted a few different
shades of green without getting to realistic, or to much
like the Errol Flynn movie version.
I
used some washes to accent various parts. Some things, like
the cap feather and sword can easily be broken, so care
has to be taken when you handle the model once those parts
are added.
It
wasn't difficult to assemble, and painting is somewhat straight
forward. I still need a lot of practice on faces. I painted
this one several times till I decided to just leave it alone
and move on. It wasn't gettng any better.
I
still enjoyed the kit and the high quality of Verlinden
products made it an easy project with no fuss.
