Custom
Cars of the 1950s - This is a great book that really captures
the custom car scene of The Fifties. Andy was there and knew
all these people and even worked on many of these cars. He
was once an editor of Rod and Custom Magazine and a long time
contributor the the rod mags of the period. The photography
is great with clear crisp pictures that are well chosen
to show how it was back then when a guy built a car and drove
it, although there are photos of some of the early shows and
the great show cars of the time. These are not your usual
studio photographs, but actual pictures taken at the time
these cars were on the street. The cars are shown in the body
shop, on the street, at the service station etc.
