This
kit is 1/16 scale and made of resin parts. This is part
of ZLPLA's "Girls in Action" series. (ZLPLA is
now Tori-Factory )
The
kit is also available in a smaller 1/20 scale.
It
consists of about 10 pieces. The very small "directions"
show basic parts, but it's pretty obvious where all they
all go. The molded detail is amazing and very crisp so the
parts easily fit together.
I
first washed the figure (in case there was any mold release
chemicals on it) and then I primered the parts.
I
painted the entire kit with acrylic (Vallejo type ) paints.
Early on a used some base coats with an airbrush but most
of it was done by hand with brushes.
Since
I don't do many figures I always have issues doing skin
and faces, but I get better as time goes on. On this kit
I had to strip the paint off the head / face three times
before I was somewhat satisfied with the results. It's still
not perfect, but it will have to do.
The
rest of the kit was easy to paint. I used various colors
and heavy weathering (since I think she was probably doing
some mechanical - maintenance work of some kind before her
beer break).
The
can in her hand is a separate part. I used two decals from
my spare decals box. One for the can, and one to be a tattoo
on her right shoulder.
The
base for her is just some scrap parts I had - primarily
an old plastic electrical box with some square mesh on top
of it.
Even
though I had trouble with my own painting skills on the
face, I still enjoyed this kit and will probably get a few
more from this company.
