This
is a 1/20 figure made by Plamax. They make these as snap
together kits, normally with precolored parts. However,
they also released (special edition?) versions that are
un-colored and can be painted by a modeler. These are known
as the "Make-Up Editions".
The
figures come in a brightly colored box with anime style
artwork. The back includes a few images of the kit built
and painted / unpainted.
I
primered all the parts, but painted them seperately on the
sprue trees. The skin tones I did with an airbrush using
an acrylic paint.
The
dark purple was also shot with an airbrush, as well as the
custom mixed pink color. Other colors and details were painted
on with a brush. Using eyedropper paints (such as Vallejo).
I
used glue to hold the parts in place since I wouldn't be
taking it apart in the future. This is a plastic model so
your usual glue or cement should work.
All
the parts have tabs and for the most part can only be assembled
one way, so there's a very slim chance that you might accidently
attach two parts together wrong or reversed.
Assembly
was easy and all the parts fit well.
The
round base is included with the figure. There are no extra
parts or options for the figure to change it from the images
shown on the box.
Decals
are provided for the eyes, as long as some thin stripes
(I think for the outfit - I did not use them).
My
strap for the pocket book broke (my fault) so I simply put
it under her arm to hold.
The
directions are exceptional. High color printed, they offer
art work showing possible paint schemes to customize your
own figure. They also have a page with helpfu tips on how
to paint the figure.
Overall
it was a fun kit to try. It took longer to paint than the
actual assembly did.
I
orderd this kit from Japan.
