A
Monogram Flying Sub from
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
I
remember building the original kit way back around 1975
when I was a kid, but then it would have been an Aurora
kit. I built this one stock out of the box.
I added the octagon patterns to the floor with decals for
interest (probably from Fred Cady). It's painted a Testors
Gloss Yellow with black trim, and a blue floor.
Did
you know? The original pilot movie Voyage to the Bottom
of the Sea starred Barbara Eden, from
I Dream of Jeannie fame.
Now
that Moebius has produced a much more accurate, and larger
kit, it's unlikley this model will be reissued. But though
it's smaller than the Moebius one, it's still a fun
model kit, even with some inaccuracies.
