Updated version includes photoetched "Sun Valley scripts, a Merc-O-Matic script, and a hood decal showing the hood crest and MERCURY block lettering.
1954 Mercury Sun Valley hardtop body with separate hood; two clear “glass” roof inserts (a spare is included for mishaps), solid roof insert (for building a hardtop); front bumper/grille; rear bumper; interior panels; floor panel and rear seat; front seat, instrument panel; front splash pan/front frame crossmember; wheel front halves; taillight/bezel units; OHV (overhead valve) engine/automatic transmission unit, OHV engine mount/crossmember; and OHV engine parts including Mercury valve covers, and an instruction sheet. No “Sun Valley” or “Monterey” scripts and no decals are provided with the current issue of this kit. The trunk emblem is molded into the trunk. The “bullet” portion of the hood ornament is not provided, but one can be fashioned from styrene plastic rod or stretched sprue, and adapted.
Also, the Mercury interior panels are missing door handle or window crank detail. What is provided are mounting holes for attaching short pieces of (1/16”) styrene rod to serve as mounting locations for improvised cranks and handles. You may wish to purchase photoetched cranks and handles from your hobby supplier, or you could carefully shave off the cranks and handles from the Fo-rd interior panels and reuse them. None of the parts are chrome plated.
