1968 Torino Convertible by Classic Hobbies / Modelhaus.
NO LONGER IN PRODUCTION
This 1/25 scale resin 1968 Torino convertible is a replication of the extremely rare AMT 1968 Torino Indy 500 Pace Car convertible, and it was cast by The Modelhaus, so the quality is remarkable.
It includes the body, interior tub with back seat, separate front bucket seats, boot and dash, plus chrome plated grille/bumpers and transparent taillight lenses. The detail and quality of the grille and bumper are so good you’d swear they’re from a plastic kit. You can use the recent AMT ’69 Torino fastback kit for the rest of the parts.
This is the actual kit that was reviewed and pictured in Model Car Journal Magazine in the late ’80s or early ’90s, and it was lightly sprayed silver (and the seats and boot gold for contrast) so it would show up better in the black and white photograph for the magazine.
