AMT

Chevrolet Coupe Gasser,

| Revell
Pirate Ship |
| June

Aye,
Revell has released a Caribbean
Pirate Ship kit. It's 1/96 scale, I think that makes
it probably around 10 to 12 inches long. I see this as
a fun kit for kids to do, as well as adults who just want
a break from their usual projects.

| Fast
and the Furious 3 Model Kits |
| June
17, 2006 |
AMT
has updated their website with the models for the upcoming
The Fast and Furious 3 movie.
There are 4 kits with this packaging.
I
wonder if the 350Z
is a new tooling. I don't remember AMT having that car
in their stable of kits. The Toyota Supra I imagine is
like the previous FF releases, they may have made some
subtle changes to the body or just changed the wheels.
The
1967 Mustang is
probably one of their oldest toolings, that kit has been
released to death. Looks like it has more modern (though
skinny) tires and rims.
I have built one of those '67's before. The 1970 Monte
Carlo is also an older tooling. Looks like a beater from
the AMT picture. With a few changes (paint it blue, and
dent the door) you have Ace's car from Ace
Ventura Pet Detective.

| Resin
SS427 Impala and 1968 Chevelle |
| June

Model
Roundup is now carrying two new resin kits. An SS
427 Impala and a 1968 Chevelle. They started out with
just a few kits, but it seems they are expanding the line
and adding new kits all the time.
Best
of all, they are a well established company, so you know
if you order a resin kit, you will actually get it in
a timely manner. They usually have them in stock ready
to ship. No waiting 6 months like you have to do with
some resin car companies.
