I've been keeping an eye out now and then about the new Speed Racer live action movie. It's been rumored for years, but they are making one, and it is going to be done.

Of course cgi will be a big part of it, especially the Mach 5.

John Goodman, and Susan Sarandon are both in it. And while the action is part of the movie, there is no doubt the Mach 5 will be the star.

Just wanted to share some of the models I came across on this site, the Brazilian Model Cars. There are some killer models and pictures here. Excellent photography.

This Challenger is quite the build. You can almost here that Hemi engine fired up!

A friend of mine had taken these really good pictures from the show, so I thought I would put them online. This was a good show, and excellent models were everywhere.

It was also a good chance to catch up with some good modeling friends and hang out.

I actually prefer IPMS shows, because you see all kinds of models, and more fantastic model techniques than you can shake a stick at. It doesn't matter what kind of model subjects you build, you can always pick up some great tips and ideas from modelers who are more than happy to share the information (and maybe prevent you from pulling your hair out while trying to figure out a new solution for making something).

There are a lot of distractions that take modelers away from their building and their craft. Sometimes we can always have an excuse on why we can't get any modeling done (Me included !).

Sometimes you just want to say: let's stop talking about building models, and BUILD SOME! ".

So we have this shirt, in a forceful, yet humorous way, to get your feelings across.
