amtronic model kit

AMT's AMTronic. This is actually a pretty cool kit. A bit dated in our eyes of today, but a hopeful look for the future in the 1960's.

Sadly, even in this day and age, we still do not have flying, levitating, or atomic powered cars.

The model splits in the middle into two separate parts. While it does have tires, these folded up into the body so the car could "float" or 'hover' on a rail.

Starship Modeler actually has a nice write up on this kit and the original issue (which had some great box artwork in my opinion.)
