This
is my first tank, I started with a 1/35 Italeri Panther ausf. A
kit. I decided to do a little diorama detail using the
Tamiya German tank crew set which includes 2 figures, tools,
ladder with a barrel and a well detailed engine.
The
tank kit has an engine but it lacks detail so I went
with the one from the Tamiya kit. I had an old pocket
watch that I stole some parts from, along with a Detailmaster
velocity stack on the engine. The armor that
covers the tracks was scratch built from brass that was cut
to match the plastic armor supplied in the kit. The
antenna is guitar string.
Tamiya
paints were custom mixed and sprayed through my
Iwata airbrush. The mud on the tracks is baking
soda mixed with Elmer's glue. The weathering was done with
some dry brush techniques and using Tamiya weathering pastels.
Some Rustall was used on different parts of the tank.
