1:25 1934 ford Supermodified by Norman S.

"This is my 34 ford supermodified. I cut, chopped, & wet sanded the body, and hogged out the windows.

I used a 40 ford chassis. The roll cage , tires, and wing are scratch built. Then I slapped a ford 429 fuel injected shotgun engine in this baby.

The chassis was painted with tamiya gun metal, the body tamiya bright orange."

  • Fire, Nitro, Rubber, and Smoke: Bob McClurg's Drag Racing Memories -ire, Nitro, Rubber, and Smoke: Bob McClurg’s Drag Racing Memories is top drag racing photographer Bob McClurg’s highly anticipated follow-up to his best-selling Diggers, Funnies, Gassers & Altereds. McClurg drew upon his substantial photo archives to deliver hundreds more of the best drag racing photos ever taken, including many gems that have never been published before. One of the nation’s leading drag racing photojournalists, McClurg captured drag racing’s most fondly remembered era from the starting line to the finish line. Through extensive captions he tells the stories of the cars, the racers, and the events that made drag racing such a great sport. McClurg shares his recollections of top racers like Don "The Snake" Prudhomme, "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, Ronnie Sox, "Dyno Don" Nicholson, Tom "Mongoose" McEwen, Tommy Ivo, Connie Kalitta, and dozens more, along with detailed insights into the incredibly cool machinery that these heroes of the quarter mile pedaled down the track. He includes everything from both front- and rear-engine dragsters to funny cars, gassers, altereds, pro stocks, and even exhibition cars. The sights, smells, and sounds of the golden age of drag racing come to life through these photos and provide a guaranteed trip down memory lane for any drag racing fan.
  • Hot Rod: The Photography Of Peter Vincent - Nothing captures the visual essence of the hot rod like Peter Vincent's photography. In brilliant color and fully-saturated black-and-white photography, Vincent will capture America's most essential hot rods, hot rodders, and racers in dramatic settings such as the Bonneville Salt Flats and California's dry lakes – the places from which hot rodders have always drawn inspiration. The majority of the book's photographs will get the same treatment: each will have its own page, surrounded by white space and properly cropped and framed to show off Vincent's photographic artistry. Woven throughout the book, Vincent will tell the story of hot rodding through interviews with the originators of the culture, land speed racers, and the new generation of hot rodders who are keeping alive the aesthetic sensibility of hot rodding.
  • Hot Rod Milestones -Beginning in the postwar 1940s and progressing to the present day, this color history takes a decade-by-decade look at the hot rods that have become particularly notorious for their creators' stylistic and mechanical achievements. A swinging' combination of evocative archival and eye-popping contemporary color photography showcases landmark creations by the likes of George Barris (i.e., "Ala Cart" and "Twister T"), Ed "Big Daddy" Roth (i.e., "Beatnik Bandit" and "Outlaw"), and Boyd Coddington (i.e., "Smoothster"), as well as cars that were crafted by lesser-known builders but, nonetheless, earned a fair share of renowned. In all, a celebration of nearly 40 fantastic hot rods.
