A
model kit of the original Star
Trek Enterprise Bridge TV Set . As Scotty
once said, "no bloody B, C, or D". For what it
is, it's a good kit. This later version has 3 figures. (Hey,
wait a minute, where's Sulu? In the bathroom?).
It is detail painted with various Testors colors. A gray,
baby blue, red and black. The base is a piece of sandpaper
painted flat black. (since the kit's center section has
no floor). This model is around a foot across when done.
(most of the sets on TOS were painted a light gray, and
lighting provided the various colors, so you can get away
with just about any paint colors you want).
The
kit does a great job representing the stage of so many adventures
on Star Trek. This later version also had a much better
decal sheet than I remember from early versions.
I
have seen some people buy two kits, and finish the walls
all the way around.
The
Star
Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual has several blueprints
and drawings of the TOS bridge if you want to add more to
the build or detail your kit out. Including information
on the individual consoles and their buttons / switches. |
