A
Monogram Battlestar Galactica
Viper kit. I did it pretty much stock, with just a little
bit of use and damage, with some weathering.
The
base I made from parts from another kit. This kit is almost
a foot long when built.
The
recent reissue had some tooling changes, including some to
the interior cockpit and a pilot was added.
Space
Above and Beyond - It's the year 2063. After 150 years of
deep space exploration, the people of Earth feel certain they
are alone in the universe. Then word comes that two Earth outposts
light-years away from home have been brutally attacked by an advanced
alien civilization. Now the new young recruits of the United States
Marine Corps Space Aviator Calvary are heading for the front lines
of space in the toughest battle the world has ever faced. Thrust
into an intergalactic war beyond imagination, these untested fighter
pilots suddenly find themselves waging a life-and-death struggle
to protect Earth and to save mankind from total annihilation.
Dark
Angel - Jessica Alba is impressive as Max, bred and trained
as a super-soldier but reclaiming her individual humanity; Michael
Weatherly is scruffily attractive as Eyes Only, who sits semi-paralyzed
in his eyrie above Seattle uncovering crime, corruption, and other
skullduggeries and assigning deadly errands to the woman he hopelessly
loves.
Battlestar
Galactica: Saga of a Star World - This classic comic-strip
adaptation tells the story of the very first episodes of the hit
TV series. After a surprise attack by battle droids, the Cylons,
the human race faces extinction. Now the last remaining warship,
the Battlestar Galactica, leads a ragtag refugee fleet across
a savage galaxy in a desperate search for that one glimmer of
hope amongst the stars — the planet Earth!
Scale
Spacecraft Modeling - Rockets and spacecraft were among the
very first models made as commercial kits, and although never
as numerous as aircraft, ships or road vehicles, the many kits
produced over the years provide a fascinating niche in the world
of model-making. The build-ups in this book reflect the current
situation with spacecraft modeling; although there are still a
number of conventional all-plastic kits available, there is also
a growing range that uses more specialist materials, especially
resins. The book explains the various techniques required when
dealing with these non-traditional materials. Scale Spacecraft
Modeling also covers scratch building and adaptation, the techniques
needed to make those pristine models really dirty to match the
ones you see in the movies, and the design and construction of
realist dioramas and settings.
