AMT Ford Ranger Model Kit

ford ranger model

An AMT Ford Ranger kit. Probably a Splash.

Just an out of the box build.

Painted Testors Gloss Red.

Lindberg Ford Explorer Model Kit

ford explorer

A 1/20 scale Lindberg Ford Explorer. This replicates my wifes previous truck.

Ours was a 4-door instead of a 2-door like this one, but everything else is the same. Even the Metallic Green paint.

  • Car Carriers 1910-1998 Photo Album - A photographic history of the new car carrier from the beginning when flatbed trucks and trailers first became an alternative to the railroad for carrying new cars. These fascinating photographs take you through the introduction of double-decker trailers, the converted auto carriers hauling military vehicles and armaments during WWII, to the innovative piggybacks and triple-level auto racks that are used today.
  • American Car Haulers - In the early 1920s, over-the-road auto transporters proved an economical alternative to railway shipping. Since then, auto transport trucks have progressed through several stages of evolution, from flat trailers to ramped double-deckers and streamlined units. This chronological scrapbook of archival and contemporary photography documents the evolution of auto transporters over the last 75 years, while introductory text and detailed captions explain the development of these vehicles. Truck and automotive enthusiasts will enjoy the wonderful photography showing haulers from several manufacturers filled with factory-fresh cars from every American automaker.
