I
like some of these new prepainted kits. It saves money on
paint, and can save some time in the build. Polar Lights
kits seem to have a pretty good paint jobs on them, judging
by this kit, and two previous builds, a Dodge Coronet and
GTO Drift Car.
I
had some fit problems with this subject. Mainly, trying
to get the body onto the chassis.
I
painted the wheels black, they were too shiny and chrome
like for my taste. Most of the build is detail painting,
on the full engine and interior.
Make
no mistake, this kit is quite detailed, and the molding
is excellent, right down to the seat patterns to the underside
of the chassis and belly pan.
A
1/25 Revell Ford GT40
racecar. This kit has no engine, it's a curbside kit.
But it does have good rubber tires and great photoetched
parts.
It
includes a beautiful rear grille on the back. I painted
the car with Testors Gloss Blue.
Front
tires are steerable.
AMT Ford
GT90 Model Kit
This is an AMT
1/25 Ford GT90, built box stock. For some reason I chose
a blue color for the car. This is almost a curbside, the
engine does not have any real detail, and is more of an
insert part.
The
car rolls, like a toy or promo. I believe it was a snap
together kit.
