A
Lindberg 1/20 scale Flintstone
model car. This was a fun kit to build. It is painted
in various acrylic flat colors, weathered some, and I tried
to be as accurate as I could to the movie car.
Getting
all the 'wood' parts to look right was a bit of a challenge
as far as painting. The stone wheels actually roll. To bad
the kit didn't come with figures, that would have been great
!
The
Dino figure is a pencil eraser.
Yabba
Dabba Doo !
Below is the sports car model from the same movie.
The
Flintstones - The Complete First Season 1960 - The Flintstones's
first season introduced two timeless couples from another
time. Its success led to a theatrical release, two live-action
features, and countless specials and spin-offs. New viewers
may be surprised to find that Dino doesn't make his official
entrance until episode 18 ("The Snorkasaurus Story"),
that Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm aren't in the first season at all,
and that the famous theme won't hit the airwaves until the
third (replacing instrumental "Rise and Shine").
Those quirky quotes, however, were in effect from the start:
"Wiiilmaaaaaaa!," "Droll, very droll"
and, especially, "Yabba-dabba-doo!!!" .
