Chasing
the Title: Memorable Moments from Fifty Years of Formula 1
-It takes a personal look at the people, races and years that
have shaped F1 from it's very begining. It is a great read for
any F1 fan as Roebuck succeeds in not only jogging our memory
of the past but also telling untold behind the scenes stories
in detail not to mention a tinge of humour.
American
Sports Car Racing in the 1950s -A facinating look back at
racing when it was still fun. Looking at the pictures makes you
realize these guys were the real super-heros. Five inch wide tires
racing at tracks literally line with trees and telehone poles
all graphically covered in this book!
American
Grand Prix Racing; A Century of Drivers and Cars -Tim Considine
spent seven years of his life in research for this volume, which
includes biographies of many of the racers, period photos by some
of the top photographers, including Pete Biro, Bernard Cahier
and Dave Friedman, and a time line history of U.S. drivers, teams
and tracks in Grand Prix. As a reference alone, this book is worth
having in anyone's GP collection, but as a read, it's a "can't
put it down" book.
