Blackbird Pilot's Flight Manual - The Lockheed SR-71, unofficially
known as the Blackbird and by its crews as the "Habu",
was an advanced, long-range, Mach 3 strategic reconnaissance aircraft
developed from the Lockheed YF-12A and A-12 aircraft by the Lockheed
Skunk Works. It flew from 1964–1998. The legendary "Kelly"
Johnson, in particular, was the man behind many of the design's
advanced concepts. The SR-71 was one of the first aircraft to
be shaped to have an extremely low radar signature. The aircraft
flew so fast and so high that if the pilot detected a surface-to-air
missile launch, the standard evasive action was simply to accelerate.
No SR-71 was ever shot down.

Revealed: The Inside Story - To those with a healthy respect
of the SR71 plane, its crews, and its mission, Col. Graham has
written the book that beats all. This effort clearly covers the
devlopment of the plane and its daily operations, all of which
were cloaked in the highest secrecy of the Cold War. Graham, involved
with the plane for most of his career, has a unique persepctive,
and takes his reader through "the way it was."
- A-12
Blackbird Declassified - Perhaps the most remarkable chapter
in the story of the supersonic SR-71 Blackbird spyplane is that
of its predecessor, the A-12 Blackbird, an aircraft capable of
speeds in excess of 2,000 miles per hour and an altitude of 15
miles. Long cloaked in secrecy, that tale comes to life in the
pages of this history.
