Paint
over the paper as you go and the paper will stick right on
the car. Use gloss paint and it will end up semi-gloss. Only
use one coat of paint. Don't repaint any areas or you will
end up with areas with different textures. It won't look uniform.
Flat paint will work but it will turn out really flat when
it drys. I'll flatten up the paint later.
As I
was laying down the gloss black, it started to dissolve the
brown a little. This was the first time I ever tried an under
coat with this technique. It still came out looking good.
Now
as it's drying you can press it down at the seams and corners.
Gloss drys slow so you have some time here. I cut the edges
so it would fit around the curves. As it's drying you can
press it down and where you cut it, the cut and flap will
almost dissapear. Of course you will get paint all over your
hands.
