A
1965 Mercury Parklane. An older kit, which I bought it as
a built up and restored it. I painted it with Testors Gloss
Red.
This kit seems like a promo, but the hood opens. I put a
428 big block in it.
This
kit also features a "Twist a Wrist" steering
wheel. Meaning you could steer the car just by turning your
wrist, rather than turning the whole steering wheel around.
(I used to have an old video showing this car with that
steering wheel).
Mercury
Muscle Cars - This Muscle Car Color History covers all
the legendary editions of Mercury classics like the Cougar,
Marauder, Cyclone and
Cyclone Spoiler, and Comet. Detailed for the first time are
the development of the Cougar XR 7, essentially an upscale
Mustang; the evolution
of the road-going Cyclone into its racing counterparts; and
rare models and special editions like the Dan Gurney and Cale
Yarborough Cyclones. Color photographs depict these seldom
celebrated cars in mint condition. All Ford hi-po engines
are covered.
Ford,
Lincoln & Mercury Stock Cars - This book covers the
stock cars of Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln from the inception
of Grand National racing in 1948 through the modern era of
NASCAR. Eighty-plus colour photos feature such legendary
cars as the Mercury, Galaxie, Thunderbird,
and Boss Mustang,
and the men who drove them. Also included is the Taurus presently
campaigned on the Winston Cup series. A special section takes
a look at the famous Aero-Wars of 1969 to 1971.
