Thunderbird Custom Model kit

A Monogram 1958 Thunderbird.
Way long ago, I always wanted a Batmobile
Kit. So I was thinking at the time I could make something
similar out of a 1958 Thunderbird kit.
I
glued the front and rear bumpers, hood, and doors and molded
them into the body lines with putty. I also took another 1958
kit and cut out the trunk area, and molded this section into
the car covering where the back seats normally would be.
About where I reached the stage below, a Resin
Batmobile Kit became available, and the project was stopped.
Years later I went back to it, thinking it would still make
a nice custom. I added the wide white walls and painted the
model Testors baby blue.
Adding some pinstriping decals. Some time later, small hairline
cracks began to appear around the rear deck lid area (again,
this being years after I started the project).
So once more, the kit was abandoned. Maybe it will give you
a model idea ?
One
of the kits I used was an Elvira
version.
