AnAMT 1957 Chevy custom.
This kit was reissued a few years back. I got this one from
a friend who had it a long time, it's probably an original
issue from the 1970's. I stripped it and redid it. It came
with a 409 V8 engine which I reused.
The thing that I thought was real cool about the kit at
the time was that it did not have any trim down the sides
of the body of the model. It has really clean lines. And
a custom tail light treatment.
The
409 engine was too nice to cover so I left the hood off.
The entire car is painted Testors Red.
Later,
this kit was reissued, being yellow on the box. I do not
think you could build this model stock, especially because
the rear taillight area has been customized so much and
no side trim is included with the kit.
