This
is an AMT 1949 - 1950 Ford Coupe 2 door.
I
made this into a Florida
State Trooper car. It is painted Testors Gloss black and
Testors Ivory. The decals are Fred Cady.
The
lights and siren are out of my parts box from another kit
or two. On modern Trooper cars, the 'State Trooper' lettering
would be on the front fender, but on this older 1950's car,
I thought it looked better on the rear.
Overall,
the rest of the kit is built right out of the box. I think
I positioned the front spindles for a more dropped look.
This is an older model tooling, but holds up well.
With
the dog dish wheels and caps, it was a natural for a pursuit
State Trooper car !
(Fred
Cady is out of business, but Chimneyville does these decals,
except the 'State Trooper' lettering is white instead of
gold. I have seen recent Trooper cars with both colors.
So either one is accurate.)
