Triumph Motorcycle Model Kit by Tony Allen

Some years ago Tony bought and built a 1/9 scale white metal kit of a Triumph Bonneville. The kit was purchased in the UK.

The model company produced a range of British motorcycles of the 1960's era. But as time has passed, Tony does not remember the manufacturer (though he is always interested in hunting down more kits from this maker).

The kit weighs about 2 lbs when finished, and is composed of white metal, stainless steel, and photo etch parts.

  • Story of the Triumph Bonneville - DVD - The Triumph Bonneville has the most famous name in motorcycling. Its's 40 years since the first Bonnies went on sale yet it's very name still conjures up images of speed, style and performance. A comprehensive account of one of the world's most charismatic motorcycles. Includes special footage of rare bikes in action.
  • Triumph, Twins and Triples - Filled with decades of Twin and Triple history, including coverage of Bonneville, Daytona, Trident, Trophy, competition bikes, and the newest range of Triumphs launched under industrialist John Bloor. Includes specs and technical notes.
  • Triumph Motorcycles: From Speed-Twin to Bonneville - Triumph Motorcycles, is a new, all color, hardcover book focused entirely on Triumph twins and triples. Starting with Edward Turner's best-known design, the Speed-Twin, the book moves to the T100, TR5, Thunderbird, TR6, Bonneville and all the rest. Using a large format and deluxe paper, this anthology of classic triumphs covers all the significant models produced from 1938 to the early 1980s. The Triumph story doesn't stop there however. The 'new' Triumph corporation, under the guidance of John Bloor, took up the challenge of producing modern motorcycles, many of which are included in this same book. Whether your personal favorite is the ever-popular Bonneville from the late 1960s, or a more obscure TR5 with 'generator' top end, the Triumphs you remember and lust after are sure to be found between the hard covers of this new book.
