This
Ducatti 916 is in 1/9th scale, the manufacturer is Protar
from Italy. From detail pictures I found I tried to replicate
the bike as ridden by Carl Foggarty.
I
made the tank and seat hinged so that all detail of engine
and electronics could be seen. All frame and engine detail
were sprayed with Alclad and the fairing was spray finished
using Halford acrylic with clear coat finish.
The
kit features individual link rear chain and I improved detail
on the rear sprocket by scratch building the sprocket, worth
the effort I thought.
I
also built the front forks using aluminum tube grafted onto
the axle bearer.
This
model was very easy to build and i'm sure more detail could
be added depending how far a modeler wants to go.
