Those
Wild Fuel Altereds: Drag Racing in the Sixties - Before
the 1957 ban on running alcohol and nitro fuels the author
ran a very successful Fuel Coupe. After the ban he gave up
and switched to competing in the Supercharged Gas Coupe class. Before
that in 1956 he put together the Fuel Coupe Invitational at
the Santa Ana drag strip. It was the first drag race eliminator
program for any individual,non-dragster class. It was a big
success but the fuel ban was introduced only a few months
later.Although the author had moved on it was exciting to
see the fuel guys come back in the early 1960s.Several of
them were cars that the author had previously raced such as
the Gene Mooneyham '34 coupe.
Corvette
C6 - The C6 represents an important departure from C5
both in terms of exterior and interior styling and chassis
dynamics. It features a revamped platform (to be shared with
the new Cadillac XLR roadster), fixed headlights (for the
first time since 1962) and an edgier, more compact body. This
GM-licensed book takes the enthusiast on an illustrated
tour of how C6
developed from the drawing board to the production line.
Corvette
Grand Sport - Lots of photos you won't find elsewhere,
and it is the only place the incredible story of these cars
is recorded.
Corvette
Grand Sport 1962-1967 - The huge amount of historical
photos and data is immense and immersive. You have to
see it to believe it, just buy it! It also has some of the
most detailed photographs of this era of racing I've ever
seen. If you need a reference for the Grand
Sport, this book is well worth the money.
