V Panther Ausf D Tank with Photo-Etche
The Panther was developed for the German Army more than 50 years
ago. It was one of the most efficient and famous vehicles of WWII.
It was created together with the well-known tank mark VI Tiger.
This tank entered service in 1943 supporting the Mark IV tanks,
which had difficulties to oppose the onslaught of Soviet T-34
tanks on the Eastern front. During the following two years of
the war this powerful tank was present in all war zones: Italy,
France as well as during the final battles on german soil. It
proved its qualities against its adversaries, from Sherman to
Stalin. Includes photo-etch parts.

VI Tiger I Ausf E Tank with Photo-Etche
The Tiger was certainly the most famous armored vehicle of World
War II. Its fire power and protective armor made it the dominating
factor on all battle fields during the years 1943-44. It did,
however, present considerable problems, due to its complex mechanical
construction. The Tiger crews were continuosly engaged in maintenance
work, which was aggravated through extreme conditions in the African
desert and the Russian Plains. Includes
photo-etch parts.
King
Tiger "Production Turret"
One of the most heavily armored and armed tank of the Second World
War, the King Tiger tank was fitted with 150 to 180 mm thick frontal
armor and the deadly 88 mm main gun, which could knock out all
Allied tanks at a range well beyond the effective range of enemy
guns. The King Tiger's Achilles' heel was that it was prone to
mechanical problems. The King Tiger's massive 68-ton weight placed
a lot of stress on its engine and steering system, and the heavy
tank also guzzles fuel, which made it difficult to support during
combat operations. This model kit depicts the production model
of King Tiger, which features Henschel designed King Tiger with
production version of the Krupp turret. The kit features highly
accurate scale replica of the 88 mm main gun with loading breech,
one detailed tank crew figure, and lots of accessories.

assembly type. A choice of stowed or extended traveling clamps.

protective net included.

German
Tanks of World War II - Developed during the 1930s in
contravention to the Treaty of Versailles, German tanks, along
with the panzer units that operated them, were counted among
the most feared conventional weapons of World War II. The
story of German tank evolution, firsthand accounts of savage
tank battles, tank comparisons, explanations of roles, and
detailed armor and armament specifications combine with modern
and rare period color photography to reveal the stories behind
Germany's light armored support vehicles, light and medium
Panzer tanks, and the behemoth Tiger tanks.
Panzer
Tactics: German Small-Unit Armor Tactics in World War II
- Wolfgang Schneider has written the definitive account of
German small-unit armor tactics. Using period training manuals,
after-action reports, countless interviews with Panzer veterans,
and his own experiences as an armor commander in the modern
Germany Army, Schneider describes World War II Panzer tactics,
coupling his narrative with scores of illustrations that highlight
armor concepts. Schneider covers the major types of small-unit
operational art -- offensive and defensive -- and also discusses
road marches, reconnaissance, command and control, working
with other arms of service, life in a tank, armor training,
gunnery, and the future of armor. The book provides useful
insight into armor tactics for both the layman and the armor
enthusiast.

Military
Model Vehicles Vol I - Following the outstanding success
of the first two volumes in this new series, this volume is
the first dealing with 1:35 scale military vehicles. This
book carries on the Verlinden tradition of displaying highly
detailed scale models with beautiful full color photographs.
Six of the seven models showcased were built by the highly
competent professional modelers at Verlinden Productions Studios.
The first vehicle to cross the pages is the ubiquitous WWII
German Tiger tank, enhanced with highly detailed resin and
photo-etched metal parts from Verlinden Productions, painted
and weathered to perfection. The next vehicle, a U.S. Army
Deuce -and-a-half cargo truck from WWII, is shown in all of
its glory, spiced up with more resin and photo-etched detail
parts from Verlinden Productions, its cargo bed loaded with
various supplies. A Russian KV-1 tank of WWII vintage is featured
in a fine study of weathering techniques. Two German WWII
softskins, the amphibious Schwimmwagen and! the popular Steyr
command & communications vehicle, are updated with resin
and photo-etched detail parts from Verlinden Productions,
and painted and weathered using the famous techniques pioneered
by Francois Verlinden himself. Another infamous German behemoth
from WWII , the Panther tank, is detailed with no less than
four different detail sets from Verlinden Productions. With
all of the additional parts, from the unique German zimmerit,
to a fully detailed engine, this model is true to scale in
weight as well as detail. Finally, we come to an outstanding
model of the Soviet T-72M1 main battle tank under the Iraqi
flag. This painstakingly researched and detailed model was
built by a highly skilled modeler, Charlie Pritchett, who
is currently employed on the staff at Verlinden Productions
Studios.
