A5 "German Aces"
This magnificent kit, dedicated to the "German Aces"
of WWII, comes with a super decal sheet by Cartograf (of Italy)
for five different versions of this fighter. Each version represents
one of the German air aces that flew the 190 A and include: Oberleutnant
Josef "Sepp" Wurmheller of Germany, Hauptmann Walter
"Nowi" Nowotny of Austria, Major Hermann Graf of Germany,
Oberstleutnant Josef "Pips" Priller of Germany, and
Major Walter Oesau of Germany. This kit contains a detailed cockpit,
landing gear, etched panel lines and two
precise photo etched frets. An accurate painting guide
is included to aid in precise completion of the kit in one of
the five featured painting schemes. This model is surely a candidate
for pride-of-place in a WWII collection.
Focke-Wulf
Fw190A-3 "Priller" with Pilot Figure
Features the BMW radial engine, with parts to construct one
standing pilot figure. Kit includes decals for FW-190 A-3
flown by Luftwaffe fighter ace "Josef "Pips" Priller.
German
Luftwaffe Fw190A-4
The A Series Fw190 was the original short-nose design, and the
type was fitted with a variety of BMW radial engines and armed
with four machine guns (two fuselage-mounted & two wing-root
mounted) and two wing-mounted 20 mm cannons. Some 6,000 ground
attack variants of the Fw190 (the F and G models) were also produced
and utilized with success by the Luftwaffe, a testament to the
type's versatility. The A-4 model Fw190 was equipped with the
same engine (BMW 801 D-2 radial) and basic armament as the A-3,
but with updated radio gear and under-wing bomb racks, which could
be fitted with a variety of bombs, heavy cannons, and cameras
for reconnaissance missions. This model kit comes with Luftwaffe
marking for two different Fw190s: JG54 Kommodore Major Hannes
Trautloft winter 1942-43 Russia (winter camouflage) and JG54 Kommodore
Major Hubertus von Bonin 1943 Estonia. 89 pieces total.
Focke-Wulf
Fw190 D-9
The D Series Fw190 was equipped with a round shaped liquid-cooled
in-line "Jumo" engine with a circular radiator mounted
in front, whereas the A Series 190s were fitted with a variety
of air-cooled BMW radial engines. The in-line "Jumo"
engine offered improved performance at high altitudes and gave
the D-Series Fw190 its distinctive long nose and extended aft
fuselage to counter-balance the added weight of the Jumo engine.
The combination of a high performance bomber engine and a proven
fighter airframe made the Fw190D one of the most capable fighter
aircraft of World War II. Scale model kit features: Detailed cockpit.
Optional open or closed canopy with two types of canopy included.
Optional open or closed cowl flaps. Rotating propeller. One
pilot figure included. Decals with 3 sets of marking included.

Kettenkraftrad
With Power Unit
This kit is perfectly suited to displaying alongside aircraft
models, as it features a WWII German Kettenkraftrad with a power
supply unit used with Luftwaffe airplanes. The set also includes
two engineer figures that may be posed charging an aircraft battery.
Many photos from wartime Germany show the power supply unit installed
in a two-wheeled cart that could be easily towed. The Kettenkraftrad
was a unique half-track motorcycle that was used for a variety
of purposes, including towing and servicing aircraft.

The
Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in North Africa- The Focke-Wulf was
already a feared opponent on the Channel Front when it appeared
in North Africa in November 1942, and, though perceived by
many to have been the fighter 'workhorse' of the Luftwaffe
on the Western and Eastern fronts during World War II, the
Focke-Wulf Fw 190 also served in unit strength in North Africa
from late 1942 until the German collapse in May 1943. This
new book is a day-to-day account of the air war over Tunisia
and Algeria told through war diaries and first-hand accounts
from both the German and Allied pilots who flew in the theater.
Includes appendices with complete loss and victory lists,
camouflage and markings of Fw 190s in North Africa, and Fw
190 captured in Tunisia. After three years of in-depth research,
the story of the pilots and units that flew the Fw 190 in
North Africa can now be told. Using over 100 photos, many
from private collections, plus illustrations and profiles,
the authors describe the interesting story of the air war
fought over Tunisia and Algeria from the view of the Fw 190
pilots.
