An AMT
Ford F150 1978 Pickup truck kit. The body I restored from a built
up kit. The frame and parts of the interior are from a 1990's
style truck. The toolbox is from Scale
Equipment Limited.
This kit
is to replicate my own truck
I used to have. It is painted Testors light Blue,
and in fact, is a lot like my truck as far as accuracy.

An AMT Ford
F-series 1979 Pickup truck kit.
This is built
from the recent reissue by Model
King.
I opened
up the grille with a dremel and hobby knife. I changed the engine
to a Boss 429 (out of a Polar
Lights Mercury Cyclone nascar kit).
I made rear
torque bars for the axle. (Don't want that 429 to break anything
back there).
The tires
and wheels are stock with the kit. The kit has the parts to be
built either as a 2WD or 4WD truck. The tarp is included with
the kit, as well as a roll bar and a push bar for the bumper.
Overall for
it's age, this is a pretty good kit. There are some details left
out (no inside rear view mirror or brake master cylinder) but
these are minor and easily corrected with parts from a modelers
parts box.
