Rocketfin
Hobbies is an online hub of sorts, primarily all about plastic
models.
You
can browse the gallery to see models that are built
by me personally, or see the "museum" for some
interesting past kits.
I also have model projects from master builders such as Hollywood
Jim, Alvin
L, and many others.
I
like all kinds of model kits, from cars, trucks, aircraft,
ships, scifi, figures and much more. I welcome you all !

I have been a
lifelong Modeler. Ever since building my first model way back
in the late 1960's, a Monogram Skyraider prop plane with my
mother's help (she used the hot knife on the stove to melt
the pegs on the landing gear for the tires), I've been a plastic
Modeler. (my Father had passed away when I was very young,
but my mother was used to models because she had an interest
in trains and layouts when she herself was young).
My first car kit was an AMT Deora. From then on, I've probably
built 500+ models in my lifetime. Everything from cars, trucks,
ships, scifi, aircraft, figures, you name it.
In through the 1970's I built primarily cars and Scifi subjects.
The 1980's was pretty much cars. The 1990's was heavy on cars,
aircraft, and my new favorite theme: TV / Movie / Special
Effects subjects. Since the turn of the century in 2000, it's
anything goes !
My
passion for plastic ( and now resin! ) fuels Rocketfin Hobbies.
I hope you enjoy visiting the site.

Here's
our Editor from the late 1980's. Living in a 2 room apartment.
Back when he had a lot more time on his hands and no grey hair!
That would be a 1973 MPC Cougar kit in progress.

Here's
our Editor's desk today in 2007. With a 1966 Resin Batboat,
F104, and a resin 1965 Lincoln.

The
model case from around the mid 1990's.
Most of these have been sold long ago.
