Resin Models is again making available its Resin 1956 Mercury
Montclair 2-door hardtop model ,Kit #56M003.
This 1956 Mercury resin model kit uses the AMT/Ertl 1956 Ford
kit as the preferred donor kit. The problem of incorrect length
of the Ford chassis has been solved with the introduction of
"graft-in" frame extension pieces. This requires slicing
the Ford frame with a razor saw at the front end of the mufflers
and at the adjacent cross member, and then grafting in the new
frame extensions. Cutting the frame at these locations minimizes
the appearance of seams.

The SKILL LEVEL required for building this kit is ADVANCED,
reflecting the modeling expertise needed in working with resin
materials, as well as ability to assemble and align components
without the aid of locating pins or other reference marks. (Come-on,
