1966 Batman Batmobile Pictures

1966 Batmobile. This is of course, not the real one, only one of the many fiberglass copies driving around and on the show circuts. Still, it is not much different, and is one of my favorite cars. I have seen two, this being the second. The first one was the dreaded "Velvet" Batmobile. That's right, instead of paint, the entire car was covered with black-velvet. Strange.

Top Picture - This example would be a better copy if they would just change the wheels. You can clearly see those are way wrong. You need "Radir" wheels. The only kit I know of with those is the AMT Fireball 500 model kit reissued a couple of years ago.

Second Picture - Here you can see some of the interior. Some of the lights were on while the car was displayed. Batman must have had a bad memory, he labeled everything on the dash with a name tag.

Third Picture - Here is the backend of the Batmobile. Won't be any fire coming out that exhaust. I am guessing that was made into an additional tail-light?
