The Italeri 1/35 Schnellboot S100 WWII German Torpedo Boat is now out. Full of detail from stem to stern, this baby is a full 39+ inches when assembled ! Over 450 plastic parts, 22 clear parts, two different diameters or rope and a big tree of over 90 photo-etched parts. It even comes with extra building materials and a screwdriver!

Trumpeter has released their 1:72 scale JMSDF Landing Craft model kit. Don't let the 1:72 fool you, this kit is large, the box is @ 18 x 14 x 4. This modern amphibias landing craft rides on a cushion of air, and it used by the U.S., British Navy, among other countries. Click there for a picture of a real one. In that image, you can see 3 HUMMVs on board, and HUMMVs are available in 1:72 scale, so there are some good possibilities for this scale model build.

Revell has issued the much anticipated 1968 Mustang GT. This is probably the most famous movie Ford Mustang there is with the Steve McQueen Bullit tie in. I am sure they will go fast, so now is the time to grab one.

Liberty ships were used during WWII to primarily carry supplies. They were made fast and simple. During the height of the war, a new Liberty Ship left the shipyards EVERY FOUR DAYS! Trumpeter makes a couple of Liberty Ship models, one of them being the SS Jeremiah O'Brien. It just so happens that the REAL O'Brien is being restored, and is a last survivor of these workhorse ships. Talk about some great reference! This model would be a great addition and interesting build for history buffs.

During WWII, the Germans had developed one of the first jet aircraft used in (very limited) combat. The infamous ME262. Trumpeter Models has issued a 1:32 (large) scale offering of this jet, and the great part is that is is a clear view "Visible" cutaway kit. Wow! This kit shows the inside technology and really gives builders a lot of room for super detailing.
